Here are a few selected domain names that recently sold (and my comments):

mylikes.com: $40,000 – this looks like a good deal for the seller. Maybe not so much for the buyer.
airportinfo.com: $22,222 – lots of potential with this one.
poolmerchants.com: $15,000 – bad. bad. bad.
howtown.com: $10,000 – waste of money.
thinkspot.com: $9,999 – loads of potential. This could be a very cool social site.
diamondtrading.com: $9,800 – not bad.
freestock.com: $9,650 – the term “free” can be both a negative or positive in a domain name.
supertrends.com: $8,500 – maybe good for a book or research website.
3210.com: $7,500 – some people love these types of domains. Not much upside if you ask me.
strikeit.com: $7,500 – strikeit? Exactly.
enyc.com: $5,800 – “e” domains rarely make it.
kinderfahrzeuge.com: $5,700 – WTF??? (means “child vehicle” in German).
videofire.com: $5,500 – possibilities.
asiaclassified.com: $5,500 – good buy. Big upside!
sweetspot.com: $5,000 – I like this one. Lots of directions to take this one.
soccer24.com: $5,000 – just like soccer has never caught on in the US, this won’t either.
flexiheat.com: $5,000 – ah, not sure where this one is going.
auditoire.com: $5,000 – I must be missing something.
synergus.com: $5,000 – one word domains like this are always good investments.
apps.net: $25,900 – I don’t like .net domains, but this is a good domain name.
constructionmanagement.net: $12,500 – we’ll see about this one.
cheapestautoinsurance.net: $7,495 – again, a .net but one with loads of search traffic.
